Fine NOx-values with flue gas purification Good news for the naval environment
Reduce the emission of environmentally damaging agents with an efficient flue gas purifying plant connected to the energy plant. With only a minor investment, you can reduce the discharge of NOx, take care of the environment, and comply with limits and norms for NOx without having to replace the whole plant.

Flue gas purification
Catcon Power Solutions supplies flue gas purifying plants and we specialize in plants which reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), formaldehyde (FA), smell and particles for diesel and gas engines, turbines, boilers, and industrial plants.
  Facts about SCR
SCR (selective catalytic reduction) is a method for lowering NOx emissions. For this, catalyst elements and the reductant NH3 under pressure, such as NH3 water or urea are applied. The method is applied to engines and turbines with a flue gas temperature in the interval between approx. 200-500° C such as are found on ships.

For reduction of CO and FA, we apply specially designed oxidation catalysts which are installed after the SCR plant.
Ammonia (NH3) is added to the nitrogen oxides (NOx) of the flue gasses, from an engine or turbine. This causes a catalytic reaction, which transforms the noxious substances into nitrogen (N2) and water (H2O). The effect is controlled regularly.
